  • Kaibab Express is a new, privately-owned shuttle company created specifically for Grand Canyon rim-to-rim hikers and visitors. We provide direct transportation between the South Rim and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. We also offer custom charter services in the Grand Canyon area.

  • Kaibab Express operates rim-to-rim service connecting key points on both rims:

    North Rim
    North Kaibab Trailhead
    DeMotte Campground
    Jacob Lake Inn

    For custom group travel or other routes, use the charter inquiry form on our website.

    South Rim

    Maswik Lodge
    Bright Angel Lodge
    Market Plaza
    South Kaibab Trailhead

  • Kaibab Express launches September 1 and runs through November 15 in our inaugural year. In future years we plan to expand into spring hiking season as well.

    Exact daily departure and return times are posted on the website and updated seasonally. Check the BOOK NOW page for the current schedule.

  • ​The fastest and easiest way to reserve your seat is by clicking the BOOK NOW button on www.kaibabexpress.com, which takes you to our secure booking system.

    You can also call us at (928) 408-1141 to book by phone. Please note:
    - Online bookings have a 6% service fee
    - Phone bookings have a 9% service fee

    We recommend booking online to save on fees and lock in your preferred time quickly.

  • Fares for rim-to-rim routes are clearly listed on our website in the BOOK NOW section. 

    We accept all major credit and debit cards through our secure platform. For charter services, submit an inquiry form and allow 48–72 hours for a custom quote.

  • The rim-to-rim shuttle ride takes about 3.5 to 4 hours one way. Some things you may want along the way include:

             - Water
             - Snacks or a light meal
             - Layered clothing
             - A charged phone
             - Any personal medications or comfort items

    There will be one scheduled rest stop, with an optional second stop if needed—just let the driver know.

  • Reservations are not refundable but can be cancelled and used within one year of the original reservation date. 

    In the event Kaibab Express must cancel a shuttle, your reservation will be refunded in full. 

  • Yes, we may need to cancel a shuttle due to extreme weather, severe road conditions, hazardous driving conditions, or official road closures. Safety is always our top priority. We will never operate if conditions are unsafe.

    We work hard to avoid cancellations and will only make this decision when absolutely necessary. If a cancellation occurs, we will notify all affected passengers as soon as possible via the email address provided during booking (please double-check that it’s correct when you reserve).

    In the event of a cancellation initiated by Kaibab Express, you will receive a full refund, or we will offer the option to rebook on the next available shuttle (subject to availability). We recommend checking your email (including spam/junk folders) the evening before and morning of your trip. Feel free to contact us directly if you have any concerns about conditions.

  • You may change a reservation once with no additional charge. Every reservation date change that follows incurs a $10 change-of-date fee. After the fifth reservation date change, the ticket is voided, and no refunds are issued.
